*My
Story... *
I'm a small Asian woman and I used to be 100 lb. When I was
young I never had a chance to wear any Rock T-shirts at out side
of my house. It is too buggy and too long for me. I only wear
tour T-shirts as a pajama. My mother used to hate me seeing when
I come down from my bed room at 7 o'clock in the morning wearing
Ozzy Osborn's "Diary of a Madman" T-shirt!
At last summer, my girl friend and me.
We went to Madison Square Garden for seeing Iron Maiden/Dio/Motorhead.
My friend stopped at my house before we went to the show. She
had never see Motorhead. But she were so excited to see Motorhead
and she was wishing to see Lemmy in person. I'm a dress maker
and I altered my favorite T-shirts even before Girl's mini T-shirts
became popular. I have an altered Motorhead T-shirt which I bought
at 82 when they come to my country for Iron Fist Tour (But I
bought Ace of Spade tour T-shirt) It was just fit for her perfect.
She wear it and we went to the show. While we watching the show.
A road crew saw her wearing Motorhead T-shirt. He thought she
is a big fan of them. (She's very pretty, too! ) He ask us if
we want to see Lemmy in person and he invite us to the back stage
of Sold-out Madison Square Garden!!! My 21 years old T-shirt
now autographed by Lemmy and on my wall with back stage pass!!!
I missed to wear so many band T-shirts at 80's. I first thought
I got vintage T-shirts and alter them. But most of the shirts'
material is becoming too weak to cut and sew. It start ripped
off where I re-sew them.
I have college degree of Textile design. I studied silk screen,
traditional fabric printing (I made Kimono!), dye of fabric and
graphic design. So I start designed and printing pictures on
heart transfer sheet and set on bland new shirts which I made.
I prefer to use vintage pictures of the bands for my samples
of band T-shirts and thinking if I had a shirts like this when
I saw them at that time! It is like a legacy and tribute for
my good memories ;) I will make custom made Rock -n- Roll T-shirts
with style which you will never get them at local photo store
for you.
Thank you! xxxooo
